Simple Ways to Plan, Enjoy, and Stick to a Healthy Diet

Healthy eating is not about strict dietary limitations, staying thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling good, having more energy, improving your health, & stabilizing yourself. And craving of having oily and delicious foods goes to another level when it’s the rainy season around. If you feel overwhelmed by all the conflicting nutrition and diet advice out there, you’re not alone. The motive is to stay away from all the diseases including food poisoning, viral fever etc. and stay healthy especially in Monsoons.

The good news is that now we can #SayNoToFoodPoisoning with LAL HIT and thoroughly clean our kitchen on monthly basis. Its unique ‘Deep Reach Nozzle’ reaches every single corner. Enjoy this monsoon season with your family and friends without worrying about the health because LAL HIT is here to solve all of them

Making the switch to healthy eating

Switching to a healthy diet doesn’t have to be an all or nothing proposition during rains. You don’t have to be perfect; you just need to follow some basic rules to stay healthy and #SayNoToFoodPoisoning

  1. Planning a healthy diet

Think about planning a healthy diet as a number of small, manageable steps—like adding a salad to your diet once a day—rather than big drastic change. As your small changes become a habit, you can continue to add more healthy choices.

  1. Prepare more of your own meals.

Cooking more meals at home can help you take charge of what you’re eating and better monitor exactly what goes into your food. You can check below one healthy and quick recipe.

Recipe of kiwi milkshake

Kiwi  – 3
Sugar/Honey  – 1/4 Cup
Milk  – 2 cups
Ice cubes  as required

a. Wash and clean kiwi.
Hint: Wash thoroughly the skin before peeling them. Make few slices of kiwi and reserve them for topping.
steps and procedure.
b. In the blender, add peeled kiwi fruits, honey, milk and ice cubes.
c.  Pulse the machine for a couple of minutes until the fruits smashed up and become creamy in texture.
d. Pour in tall glasses.
Serve chilled.

  1. Simplify

Instead of being overly concerned with counting calories, think of your diet in terms of variety, and freshness. Focus on avoiding packaged & processed foods and opting for more fresh ingredients.

  1. Focus on how you feel after eating

This will help foster healthy new habits and tastes. The more healthy food you eat, the better you’ll feel. The more junk food you eat, the more likely you are to feel uncomfortable or drained of energy.

  1. Drink plenty of water

Water helps flush our systems of waste products and toxins. It’s common to mistake thirst for hunger, so staying well hydrated will also help you make healthier food choices.

Last but not the least….

  1. Use LAL HIT

The simple, handy and reliable solution to avoid food poisoning is to apply LAL HIT each time when you deep clean the kitchen and eliminate the hidden cockroaches. LAL HIT now comes in fresh fragrance.

#SayNoToFoodPoisoning and all other problems by staying healthy because “Health Is Wealth”

Tata values Homes: Connecting with the nature

On this World Environment Day, let’s work together towards a safer and healthier workforce. Tata Value Homes(TVH) as a brand have been always a friend of the environment. We as a loving creature should also take at least one step to be a friend of the environment.

There’s lots that you can do. Remember —

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle — 3 great ways YOU can eliminate waste and protect your environment!

Read about these three R’s. Find out how many good things you may already be doing!

  • Did you put that empty plastic bottle in the recycling bin? That’s recycling.
  • Did you say, “No, thanks” when offered a plastic bag in a store? That’s reducing waste.
  • Ever save a piece of paper to use it again? That’s reuse.
  • Did you used cycle to go to your School? That’s reducing pollution.

The best part about TVH is that most of their projects are IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) certified which already ensure energy and water savings of more than 20% in the projects.

This year’s theme of “Connecting with the nature” motivates us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and to think about how we are part of nature and how intimately we depend on it. It challenges us to find fun and exciting ways to experience and cherish this vital relationship.

TVH as a brand has always been a staunch supporter of connecting people to nature by providing greener, cleaner projects.

Most of the TVH projects have-

  • Gardens
  • Natural energy sources
  • Proper waste disposal system for cleaner environment and air
  • Landscaped gardens
  • Jogging tracks
  • Bicycling tracks

Being a market leader and more focused towards environment, they always promote people to move out of their homes and relax and enjoy in a cleaner environment

Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)

The vision of Tata Capital Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is to be the most admired sustainable financial solutions partner. With the purpose to improve the lives, they reached out to the socially and economically underprivileged communities. Over the past year, they have engaged in various cleanliness drives as well in order to beautify the outdoors. Some of them are listed below

  • Juhu Beach clean drive on 2nd Oct
  • Cleanliness Drive at Elephanta Caves
  • Tree Plantation at Boisar on 30th  July 2016
  • Tree Plantation at Boisar on 1st July 2016
  • Cleaning the Periphery Pond& nearby roads nearby site and clearing the bushes.
  • Cleaning the Adhidravidar school campus at Keelakottaiyur on 22 March.

Nature’s gifts are often hard to value in monetary terms. Like clean air and water, they are often taken for granted, at least until they become scarce.

However, economists are developing ways to measure the multi-trillion-dollar worth of many so-called ‘ecosystem services’, from insects pollinating fruit trees to the leisure, health and spiritual benefits of a hike up a valley.

Always remember, Environmental care is the most profitable investment you can do.

So what are you doing this World Environment Day? 😊

Top 7 Phenomenal Islands In India

I’m sure the phrase is pretty popular- no man can live as an island. While that is certainly true, it never did the modern man any harm to travel to one and count on total rejuvenation on vacation every once in a while. While the idea of Robinson Crusoe is never too appealing, island tourism in India is seeing a boom and rightly so, courtesy the tranquillity of seclusion, breath-taking global-standard beauty and the exotic feel common to dreams. Hence, let’s put on the fancy scuba gear and get exploring these little oases of peace.

  1. The Lakshadweep Islands

Photo by Lenish Namath, CC BY-SA 3.0

Look at a picture of this gorgeous island, you’ll know what I am talking about. A group of small islands, named “the group of one lakh islands”, it features corals Australia is so famous in Lakshadweep. Also, it has quirky tourism implements, like lighthouses.

  1. Havelock Island

Named after a foreigner seems to be a feature very common in these parts of India-this one was named for Henry Havelock. One more common feature of islands look like lighthouses, and Havelock one has one too. It has a beach which is acknowledged to be the best in India by Time magazine, and belongs to an archipelago that shares its name with Richie Rich, only a different spelling-Ritchie’s archipelago.

  1. Great Nicobar Island

This island has the largest size among its kind in India. It has a turbulent point in its history, the 2004 Tsunami that caused much destruction. It has exotic reptile and avian species indigenous to it, and-you guessed it-lighthouses. It has a host of rivers that flow along its general topography.

  1. Little Andaman Island

Photo (Cropped) by Sankara Subramanian, CC BY 2.0

For the traveller who is going off the beaten track, literally, is waiting this island. Not too crowded and not too expensive as well, this is the beatnik tourist’s dream come true. It features exotic avian and turtle species, and offers safaris a la Africa, and boat voyages a la Mauritius. Best of both worlds, did I hear someone at the back say?

  1. Barren Island

Photo by Arijayprasad, CC BY-SA 4.0

This is one island that is more boho than the last. Let’s find out why. It is akin to the Vesuvius, being the only volcano that actually erupts in South Asia. Also, it offers Scuba Diving opportunities to tourists. It is a lot like the Dead Sea, with the almost non-existent life that it supports. That’s where it gets its name from, as well.

  1. Viper Island

Photo (Cropped) by Snap, CC BY 2.0

It sure seems like places have stories that prove how truth is stranger than fiction. True to the world of adventure and horror stories, this island was named after a ship that carried Lt. Blair to India. It is a pretty island, and a jetty for tourists visiting Andaman. But what the guides won’t tell you is that this place used to have gallows, now abandoned, which was used to contain and torture Indian political prisoners of the British Raj. And oh, it has some viper species as well.

  1. Rutland Island

Photo by scheherezade, CC BY-SA 2.0

Individuals with interest in Victorian English literature will know about the treatment meted out to the racial “other”. This island provides real-time opportunity for learning about some “others”- The Jangil tribe, natives to the Andamans, who were few and far in between in terms of interactions with people from the outer world, but present nonetheless. Also, this island has a number of beaches in Andaman along with the opportunities for open-water divers.

It is sometimes strange how things exceedingly relevant to one discipline are completely out of the vista of another. One sees how islands, very important in political power establishment, was taken little note of in tourism, especially in the Indian context. It’s good to see that changing, and Lakshadweep is now the first destination many couples would like to explore on honeymoon tour to India. Indeed, with scuba diving, exotic fauna and world class thriller histories, islands shouldn’t be something people miss out on the flavour of.

Day 3- India Runway Week

17800421_768554583306743_798474299627240142_nI was lucky enough and attended the 3rd day of India Runway Week. It continued to please everyone on the 3rd day of the fashion extravaganza. The day was filled with designers showcasing their Spring Summer collection. From models wearing pastel palette to Swara Bhaskar walking the ramp, here’s a roundup of 3rd day!

Suprachi’s clothes were so beautiful, technically lofty fabrications and ladylike sophistication, certain hauteur. Mystery is no stretch for this label. It was pretty thrilling to see the designer delve into silhouettes which were dramatic, bold and yet filled with feminine grace.

I also loved the Pooja Peshoia collection, it was Inspired by the natural reflections which illuminate the ocean’s surface, the collection was strong and opulent yet fluid and feminine. There was a variety of graceful erhnic wear including lehangas, structured peplums jackets, crop top and skirts, sophisticated gowns, chic sarees and striking jumpsuits.

Three designers who showcased their all new designs-

Delhi based Designer- Ankur j Launches his Amun-Ra (hidden light) collection which emphasizes on Egyptian colors and prints with contemporary mix…must watch in the collection is the 5D Egyptian beetles state of the art prints and Egyptian gods while doing fine justice to the Indian art. With the collection, he raised the message of “Help Egypt Help an Heritage”.  Egypt is famous for its ancient civilizations and also some of the earliest and most famous monuments of the world but it’s facing many grâve problems. “the issue which struck his attention was “taharrush gamea.” which means “group harassment” in Arabic, “sexual assault by a bunch of Arab men” or “gang-rape game” and that it’s a normal thing in the Arab World. Also named “a circle of hell” More than 99 percent of women and girls in Egypt interviewed for a survey published by UN Women in 2013 reported that they had experienced some form of sexual harassment.

18194910_10202870711085001_1040877935779560841_nRIDHANSH by Sonia Gaba presents their collection “Nazakat”. The name itself explains “beauty is in the way you present it”. Whatever you wear , becomes beautiful in the way you handle it. In this show designer Sonia Gaba will showcase her collection which has a mixture of whites, yellows and goldens, pairing it with some elegant jewellery.

Tribe Vibe Collectives”  by Akassh K Aggarwal is an inspiration from the world of Bohemian Self Love, In a society that has seen women as the weaker and the second sex, here’s a Bow Down to the ones who decided to live the way they wanted to, no matter how crazy or rebellious. Bollywood Glam Swara Bhaskar walked the ramp for Delhi based designer.

Also, the distinctive ornamented embroidery glamorizes the outfits and hues make it look elegant. Multicolor hues are playful and synonymous with festivities. With an aspiration to create illimitable creation Tevar handcrafts its garments at its design studio and workshop in Mumbai.

Wellknown Shamita Shetty walked the ramp for Ritambhara Paliya. Her collections are made up with pure rich fabrics to create an effortless style that executes elegance. Completed her education from Indian Institute of fashion technology, Ritambhara has fascinated the world of fashion by her unique and mesmerizing creations, innovative ideas and style in haute couture which are modern yet classy.

Kristy De Cunha did the grand finale of India Runway Week Season 8 -Kristy De Cunha who is widely known as a young emerging designer will be showcasing collection “ Gol Gol Rani Freddie Mercury”.
